About

Welcome to Market Research Today

I’m Donald Postway, and I thank you for joining me in an ongoing journey to find the latest market research and share it with the public. My goal is to explain new data from various industries in ways that people can apply to their businesses and investments.

Research and data are passions of mine. We all start off with different opinions about how the world works based on our upbringing and life experiences.  Objective research and data analysis are necessary if we want to have any chance of building a consensus among so many varying opinions. In most cases, the person whose point of view is backed up by data is the one who wins the argument, whether it be at home, in the board room or a legislative chamber.

Science isn’t just for scientists and neither is research. Thomas Henry Huxley, a 19th Century biologist once said, “Science is simply common sense at its best, that is, rigidly accurate in observation, and merciless to fallacy in logic.”

I believe the truth always help, even if it’s unpleasant. Accurate knowledge is important in all endeavors and the key to finding solutions to problems big and small. In business, as well as life, the truth arms us with the knowledge to make thoughtful decisions and make the most of a given situation.

As this site grows, I hope to add articles on topics such as housing, small business, management and more. The research and data you read about here can help you understand the truth about your industry or customer base.

The things you learn on this site may seem small, but it’s small steps like these that have advanced human knowledge so far. Olive Schreiner wrote an allegory in the 19th Century where a hunter searchers for a bird called truth and fragments of the truth are its feathers. She wrote, “when enough of those silver feathers shall have been gathered by the hands of men, and shall have been woven into a cord, and the cord into a net, that in that net Truth may be captured. Nothing but Truth can hold Truth.”

It is my hope that whatever form of truth you a searching for (in the business world), that you will find some feathers of truth within these articles. Happy hunting!

Sincerely,

Donald Postway
